Lata Ji’s debut Hindi song was “Mata Ek Sapoot Ki Duniya Badal De Tu” for a Marathi movie Gajaabhaau. She recorded thousands of songs in many languages like Hindi, Marathi, Assamese, Bengali.
Mangeshkar collaborated with many singers during her music career from Mohammad Rafi to A. R. Rehman, Manna Dey to Jagjit Singh, Kishore Kumar to Sonu Nigam, Mukesh to Udit Narayan and many more.
Lata Ji received the most prestigious Bharat Ratna for her immense contribution to Indian music. Along with that, she is also honoured with Padma Bhushan, Padma Vibhushan, Dadasahab Phalke award and many more.
